I think she means the Muslims collectively are like one body, so if one part of the body gets tired then the rest of the body would feel tired too. She's using this example to show how all Muslims, including Sunnis and Shias, should live united together instead of hating each other

wow. if thats what she meant, im impressed. and i definetly agree. but the world isnt perfect and is full of ignorant people, my freinds dad is one of them, doesnt mean hes not good, hes actually very amazing person and smart, but lacks the will to become open minded to shia, i think hes been too pressured by his own family. still no luck, but we still are trying wiht him. Enshallah khayr. As of right now, things havnt changed still as they were and its exam for us here at university, so she and he are simply trying to get throught that together. One more year and both of them will graduate University enshallah.

really? i dont know, i have to disagree because not all sunni's and shia's dont get along in marriage, for example, al7imdillah my parents, one is sunni and one is shiaa, and they are very good with each toher al7imdillah. it can work for sure..my parents are proof and as for their 7 children, me included, we grew up sooni and my parents are putting us in islamic school and WE decide what we want to go on with, either way..islam is islam. thanks for posting, i appreciate your reply

continuous efforts would change everything i guess.parents blessing is important to build a marriage.if the father don't want to be wali, his son can replace him with his permission. or uncle or...as long as man in related to father (connected with blood).my english is not good...hope you will understand what i mean there.

in Malaysia, when a father refuse to become a wali...man in his family is allowed to become wali to that person's daughter.if all efforts fail, wali judge in syariah court will be the last solution.
